1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Smart Inventory ("the App"), published by Clap Technology, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Smart Inventory is a mobile application that helps you organize physical items in storage containers. The App allows you to:

Create and manage storage containers and the items stored in them
Store inventory data locally on your device using an on-device database
Attach photos to items and organize containers by location
Generate QR code labels for containers and scan those labels to open container details
Identify items using on-device ML Kit vision, with optional Premium AI cloud vision when you choose to use it
Search your inventory by voice using your device microphone, and on iOS, optional Siri shortcuts
Export and import your inventory as a backup file on your device
Optionally sign in to a Premium AI account and purchase additional Premium AI vision quota through in-app purchases

Most features work entirely on your device. Premium AI is an optional cloud service that requires an account and sends images you submit to our server for processing.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for:

Not using the App for any fraudulent, harmful, or illegal activities
Respecting the privacy and rights of others, including when photographing items or locations
Maintaining accurate inventory information to the best of your ability
Creating and safeguarding your own backup files; the App stores data on your device and data may be lost if your device is lost, damaged, reset, or the App is uninstalled without a backup
Keeping backup files secure; anyone with access to a backup file can restore its contents
Granting only the permissions the App requests (such as camera, photos, and microphone) when you choose to use related features

4. Premium AI and Account

Premium AI is an optional cloud service. You are not required to create an account or use Premium AI to use the core local inventory features of the App.

If you choose to use Premium AI, you agree that:

You must create and maintain an account with a valid email address
Premium AI usage is subject to a vision quota; additional quota may be purchased as consumable in-app purchases
When you use Premium AI, images you submit are sent to our cloud service for analysis
AI-generated names, descriptions, and identifications are suggestions only and may be incomplete or incorrect
Premium AI results are not professional advice (for example, they are not appraisals, safety assessments, or legal classifications)
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Premium AI features at any time, subject to applicable store rules

5. In-App Purchases

The App offers optional consumable in-app purchases for Premium AI vision quota packs. Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store (on iOS) or Google Play Store (on Android) and are subject to their respective terms and conditions. Consumable purchases add vision quota to your Premium AI account after payment is verified; they are not subscriptions and do not auto-renew.

Refund requests:

iOS (Apple App Store): Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Android (Google Play) — within 48 hours of purchase: Please request a refund directly through Google Play.
Android (Google Play) — after 48 hours: Please contact us at shashishdekate@gmail.com. You must include the order number from your Google Play purchase confirmation email. Refunds cannot be processed without the order number.

6. Data Storage and Privacy

Your inventory data (containers, items, photos, and related metadata) is stored locally on your device unless you explicitly use features that send data elsewhere.

If you use Premium AI, images you submit for analysis are sent to our cloud service for processing. If you create a Premium AI account, your account email address is stored on our server to manage authentication and vision quota.

We do not sell your personal data. For more details about what data is collected and how it is used, please see our Privacy Policy. A separate privacy policy may also be required by the Apple App Store and Google Play.

7. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Clap Technology and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the inventory data and photos you create, subject to these Terms and applicable law.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

On-device vision, Premium AI results, voice search transcriptions, and QR scans are provided for convenience only. They may be inaccurate or incomplete. You should verify important information independently. The App does not provide professional, legal, financial, safety, or appraisal advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Clap Technology shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, resulting from your use of or inability to use the App, including reliance on AI results, loss of backup files, or unauthorized access to backups you store outside the App.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
